(Report from 7/21/19 visit)
I was in the mood for Italian food so we went to NiDo Caffe (Biscayne/73 St). We've been coming to this restaurant for about ten years and the food is always good.
NiDo is a casual Italian restaurant with a certain uncomplicated charm. It's wall are decorated with wine shelves, a wall-to-wall abstract painting, menu board, etc. We were met at the door by the very capable manager Nicolas who escorted us to our table. After a few minutes he came by to take our drink order and told us about all the delicious specials. With so many delightful choices it was difficult to decide on what to order, but Lourdes and I went for the Spaghetti with spinach pesto and Alfredo sauce. This dish was "to die for" and took us to culinary heaven...that good! Our friend Yoyi ordered an amazing Osso Buco and Ruben had an spectacular Fungi Risotto. For dessert we had a delicious almond tart with vanilla ice cream. We also had Expresso coffee. -

Had dinner here while staying nearby at the Vagabond Hotel. Since it's right next door to the hotel it is within walking distance. There were four of us so we ordered a variety of dishes. We had the Short Rib Ravioli -- very good; the salmon - cooked to your liking and a generous portion; and the potato gnocchi with pesto sauce - fresh, soft and light.
For dessert we shared tiramisu, which was creamy but missing the liquor, and crepes, which were warm and sweet. Both were delicious and worth ordering again. A good finish to a tasty meal.
Service was attentive and helpful. Our waiter was honest and informative and provided excellent suggestions for those in the group who were undecided. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop in for dinner. -

A friendly neighborhood restaurant serves delicious Italian dishes. Melanzane Alla parmigiana is very good. The staff is friendly and always eager to please. Affordable prices and causal ambiance.

Love love love this place. I love the food. Love the atmosphere. And the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Have eaten dinner here before and was so happy to come back for lunch. I had the branzino and it was out of this world. Prepared perfectly. The sauce of tomatoes, capers, and olives was excellent. They have everything from simple ingredients sandwiches to top notch pasta and other dishes. Something here for everyone. I'll be back for sure. I was actually craving this place.

Stay away! The pictures you see here don't even remotely resemble what you'll get.. I showed the pictures here to the manager and she said she didn't know why it was like that.. what they serve is lame tasteless food at best. Stay away!
